§ Mr. JackThe National Rivers Authority has invited tenders for supply of 1.2 million cu m of sand for nourishment of the beaches between Mablethorpe and Skegness. In this Ministry's contribution to the Government response to their licence application, I have specified that maximum possible use must be made of supplies from existing licensed areas before any material is removed from Race bank.
The NRA currently has no licensed areas and could not therefore relinquish any in lieu of the Race bank.
