To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations he has had with the Environment Commissioner of the European Union in relation to the implications of the 1992 habitats directive of the European Union on the proposed opencast coal site development on the Cwm Selar site of special scientific interest, Cwmgwrach, Vale of Neath.

There have been no such consultations.
