§ Mr. KeyBased on figures for the past three years the Vehicle Inspectorate executive agency—VI—has conducted an average of about 58,000 roadworthiness and traffic enforcement spot checks annually. The relevant information is as follows.

Vehicle and traffic examiners also advise the traffic commissioners on licensing matters. The table summarises the number of staff engaged in this work by each of the VI's 23 enforcement areas.
