asked Her Majesty's Government:
The annual number of public interest certificates issued in each of the last 10 years; and
The annual number of public interest certificates issued in connection with criminal trials in each of the last 10 years; and
The annual number of public interest certificates issued by each department of state in each of the last 10 years.

§ The Minister of State, Department of Trade and Industry (Lord Strathclyde)
No central record has been kept of the numbers of public interest immunity certificates issued by government departments in relation to the period in question.
