§ Mr. Douglas HoggI wrote to the Israeli ambassador on 11 March drawing his attention to the European Foreign Ministers' statement of 7 March noting that Israel is responsible for the safety of all inhabitants in the occupied territories. I welcome moves by the Israeli Government to disarm extremist settlers and outlaw two extremist settler organisations. I recognise that some settlers face risks themselves.
