§ Mr. HowardWe keep the legislation under close review. In last year's Criminal Justice Act we strengthened the measures against terrorist finance. The Criminal Justice and Public Order Bill, which is currently in Committee, contains new powers for the police to stop and search vehicles and persons for counter-terrorist purposes and creates two new terrorist offences.
