HL Deb 10 March 1994 vol 552 cc112-3WA
Lord Trefgarne

asked the Chairman of Committees:

Wheather the forthcoming relocation of the House of Lords Accountant's Office has been planned taking into account the convenience of Lords.

The Chairman of Committees (Lord Ampthill)

Yes, my Lords. The relocation of the Accountant's Office in 6–7 Old Palace Yard will free office accommodation in the Palace of Westminster for Peers and make it easier for them to carry out their parliamentary duties. The point raised in the noble Lord's question was considered by the Administration and Works Sub-Committee, which decided that the balance of advantage lay in relocating the Accountant's Office.
