To ask the Secretary of State for Education to which public offices he has appointed the vice-chancellor-elect of London university.

Professor Andrew Rutherford has not been appointed to any public office by my right hon. Friend.

§ Mr. Mackinlay
To ask the Secretary of State for Education to which public offices he has appointed the current vice-chancellor of London university.

§ Mr. Robin Squire
None, although the current vice-chancellor was appointed to the post of Her Majesty's chief inspector by the Queen in Council at my right hon. Friend's recommendation.
