§ Mr. AitkenEngineering and maintenance activities in support of the Royal Air Force are currently being drawn together as part of the new RAF Logistics Command, which will come into being with effect from 1 April 1994. 199W However, as the House knows, the defence costs study "Front Line First" is examining the whole of the defence support area to ensure that current plans provide the most cost-effective approach to supporting the front line, and its recommendations are awaited.
