Mr. Denham

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what has been the annual budget contributions by the United Kingdom to(a) the International bank for reconstruction and development, (b) the International Development Association and (c) the International Finance Corporation for each of the past 10 years in (i) pound sterling and (ii) United States dollars.

In addition, the latest available data indicate installed thermal capacity of about 55 MW. Reliable estimates of current demand levels are not readily available, but over the course of the last year load shedding has been an almost daily occurrence in Nepal, indicating regular shortages of power.
