Mr. Cox

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what has been the total amount of expenditure given for urban regeneration in the Greater London area; and if he will list the local authorities that have received funding and the amounts received.

Mr. Baldry

The total amount of expenditure given for urban regeneration in the Greater London area in the current year is £296.967 million. This amount is made up from the following programmes—estate action, urban programme, city challenge, task forces, housing action trusts, city grant, funding for the London Docklands development corporation and derelict land grant.
