To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if the Department will carry out full consultations with the unions over staff surpluses in line with section 34 of the Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act 1993.

If a potential redundancy situation occurs, full consultation with the trade unions will take place, in line with the provisions of section 34 of the Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act 1993.
