To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what was the staff running costs budget set for his Department in April 1993.

§ Mr. MacGregor
The budget set for my Department's staff running costs in April 1993 for the financial year88W 1993–94 was £27795 million. This includes staff running costs for executive agencies in the net controlled area and the Vehicle Inspectorate, which is a trading fund.
