To ask the Secretary of State for Health what is the value of NHS property stolen in each of the last five years.

Mr. Sackville

The reported losses of property, including cash, due to theft, fraud, arson, neglect of duty or gross carelessness are shown in the table.

The figure relates to regional, district and special health authorities and family health services authorities. Figures for national health service trusts are not collected on a comparable basis.
