To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his Department's policy on recycling in Wales.

Mr. Gwilym Jones

The Government have set a target of recycling 25 per cent. of household waste by the year 2000.

I will continue to promote increased recycling wherever this is the best practical environmental option.
