Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the President of the Board of Trade (1) if he will launch an independent inquiry into the affairs of Coopers and Lybrand following the DTI report on the company;

(2) if he will initiate an independent inquiry into the regulation of the major accounting firms by the Institute of Chartered Accountants;

(3) if he will launch an independent inquiry into the affairs of Grant Thornton following the DTI report on the company.
