To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what is his assessment of the performance and effectiveness of TECs in Wales.

The performance of Welsh TECs is closely monitored against the targets agreed in their business plans and they are also subject to two formal reviews of performance each year. It is my intention to publish information on Welsh TEC performance in the context of the quartile tables of key performance indicators prepared for TECs in England. This information will be available in the early part of the 1994–95 financial year.
