§ Mr. DonohoeTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what reports have been commissioned from outside consultants by Scottish Enterprise since its creation; what areas were covered by these reports; what action has been taken by Scottish Enterprise on these reports; and how much has been spent by Scottish Enterprise on each of these reports.
§ Mr. StewartScottish Office approval for consultancy studies is required only for those studies which cannot be undertaken within Scottish Enterprise's delegated authorities; and no comprehensive record is therefore held by the Scottish Office of consultancies commissioned, the subjects concerned, or action taken consequent to the report findings. These are essentially operational matters; and I have therefore asked the chairman of Scottish Enterprise to respond direct to the hon. Member.
