HL Deb 18 January 1994 vol 551 c43WA
Earl Russell

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Who is responsible for co-ordinating policies to tackle the difficulties of young people outlined in the British Youth Council's report Looking to the Future: Towards a Coherent Youth Policy.

The Minister of State, Department for Education (Baroness Blatch)

There are many examples of co-ordination between government departments on different issues affecting young people. The government departments concerned work closely together where specific issues cut across their policy responsibilities.
