To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will now direct that the salaries of general managers of NHS trusts be made public; and if he will arrange for the members of the boards of NHS trusts to declare any financial interests and that a register of such interests be made available for public scrutiny.

These issues are under consideration following publication for consultation in England of draft codes of conduct and accountability for NHS boards and their members.
