To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if the United Kingdom is still producing fissile material for weapons purposes.

Mr. Aitken

There has been no change in Her Majesty's Government policy on the production of fissile material. Production of this material for weapons purposes is kept at the minimum level required to meet defence needs.
