Applications for STABEX to compensate for losses of export earnings in 1993 must be submitted by the end of March 1994. The Commission will assess the claims, and transfers should take place in the autumn. The percentage of valid claims which can be met is dependent on the value and the number of claims on the total available STABEX resources. It is therefore not possible to predict what this percentage will be for the 1993 year of application.
