To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what the proposed date is for commencement of work on the construction of the A27 Arundel bypass.

[holding answer 24 February 1994]: Start of construction of the A27 Arundel bypass will depend on the completion of statutory procedures, the outcome of the current review of the roads programme, and the availability of funds.
