The Welsh Arts Council is a committee of the Arts Council of Great Britain. Appointments to the Welsh Arts Council are made by the Arts Council of Great Britain, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Wales.
These arrangements will change on 1 April 1994 when the Arts Council of Wales will replace the Welsh Arts Council. Appointments to the Arts Council of Wales will be made by the Secretary of State for Wales.
