To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what change is projected in the population of those aged(a) over 65 years, (b) over 75 years and (c) over 85 years in each of the next 10 years.

[pursuant to his answer 11 February 1994, col. 499]:] The information provided contained two errors. The estimate of the number of people aged 75 and over in 1994 should read 3,892,000 and the estimate of the number of people aged 85 and over in 1994 should read 1,002,000.
