asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether United States plans to deploy a battle group with ballistic missile defence capabilities in the Mediterranean have been agreed within NATO, and if the battle group will be within the integrated command structure.

The United States navy battle group in the Mediterranean is under US command. Neither the defence capability of the United States navy vessels nor their availability to NATO is a matter for the UK Government.
