To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many residential and nursing homes there are in Wales.

As at 31 March 1993 there were 675 local authority and registered private and voluntary residential homes for the elderly, physically disabled and visually disabled. At the same date there were 380 registered private nursing homes.
