§ Mr. SackvilleNone. However, certain synthetic compounds of cannabis, cannabinoids, have been found to be of use against nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy. An independent report into the use ofnabilone, a semisynthetic cannabinoid developed for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced emesis, has concluded that it is no more effective than standard anti-emetic treatments and has a higher degree of toxicity.
