To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what rules have been agreed to allow fishing vessels the use of drift nets over 2.5 km in length.

Since 31 December 1993 the use by Community vessels of drift nets over 2.5 km in length has been prohibited under the provisions of EC regulation 3094/86.
