HC Deb 01 February 1994 vol 236 c679W
Mr. Llew Smith

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what information he has received from Atomic Energy Authority Technology in regard to its imminent plans to increase radioactive discharges from its Dounreay reprocessing plant in Caithness.

Sir Hector Monro

Following an application by AEA Technology for revised limits Her Majesty's industrial pollution inspectorate is currently reviewing the AEA Technology authorisations to dispose of solid, liquid and gaseous wastes. The applications for revised certificates of authorisation have been placed on public registers where they are available for inspection, at the offices of the inspectorate and at the offices of Caithness district and Highland regional councils.
