To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list each of the occupational pension schemes covered by Government guarantees and give details of the main elements of each scheme.

[holding answer 12 December 1994]: Occupational pension schemes covered by Government guarantees are:

  • The National Rivers Authority (Closed Fund);
  • British Coal (Closed) Schemes and;
  • The Pensioners Sections of the Railways Pension Scheme.

Details of the pension benefits are available from the schemes themselves.
