Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) if he will visit Darland high school, Clwyd; and if he will meet the chairman and vice chairman of Darland high school, Clwyd, to discuss the needs of special needs pupils;

(2) if he will visit Darland high school, Clwyd, to discuss with the staff and governors Her Majesty's Government's policies concerning staffing and budgets for high schools.

Neither my right hon. Friend nor I have any plans at present to visit Darland high school. The budget for any local education authority maintained school is a matter for the authority concerned.
