To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what was the purpose of the flight by four Italian air force AMX aircraft from RAF Coningsby to the Loch Ness area on 14 July.

§ Mr. Soames
The purpose of the flight, which was properly authorised, was to carry out low-level training and to utilise the electronic warfare tactics range at RAF Spadeadam.
