§ Mr. MacleanA publication on race and the criminal justice system was issued in October 1992 along with a similar publication on gender. In 1993 the Home Secretary's statutory responsibilities under section 95, which deals with information on race, gender and costs, were discharged by distributing information on the costs of the criminal justice system. Additionally, an information sheet on race specifically for the Judicial Studies Board was published.
A further general publication on race will be distributed shortly.
