§ Mr. AingerTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy to introduce a system of mandatory reporting and monitoring for ships with hazardous cargoes in the seas around the United Kingdom coast similar to the system introduced by France and Italy in the straits of Bonifacio.
§ Mr. Norris[holding answer 25 April 1994]: The International Maritime Organisation approved in November 1993 a number of routing and reporting measures around the United Kingdom coast which are similar to those introduced for the strait of Bonifacio.
