To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will make a statement on the redeployment of nursing staff from the acute to the community sector.

Mr. Sackville

Changing patterns of health care are leading to the development of new roles and opportunities for nurses in the community. Government policy is that employers determine the work force they require and the training staff need.
