§ Mr. McMaster
To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage how many parliamentary questions to his Department have not been answered over the past five years because of disproportionate costs or because the information requested was not held centrally; how many could be answered now due to computerisation and/or more effective operational systems; and if he will list each such question along with the name and constituency of the hon. Member who tabled it.703W
§ Mr. Brooke
Since my Department was formed in April 1992 it has declined to answer 14 questions on the ground of disproportionate cost or because the information requested was not held centrally.
As computer and operational systems continue to improve there will doubtless be increased potential for this number to decline.
