To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps he plans to take to protect witnesses from intimidation.

Mr. Maclean

The Criminal Justice Bill contains a new offence of witness intimidation. This will make it easier to prosecute anyone who seeks to intimidate or take revenge on witnesses, jurors or any person assisting the police.
