§ Mr. AltonTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action Her Majesty's Government are taking to encourage international action for the protection of both foreign and local non-combatants in the civil war in Rwanda.
§ Mr. Lennox-BoydWe are active in United Nations Security Council deliberations on Rwanda and have welcomed the involvement of neighbouring countries. The first priority is to try to bring about a ceasefire, creating conditions in which it will be possible to relaunch the process of national reconciliation and set up humanitarian relief.
