HL Deb 20 April 1994 vol 554 cc11-2WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the outcome of the meeting arranged for 18 March between the President of Sudan, two groups of the Sudanese People's Liberation Army and leaders of other East African states.

Baroness Chalker of Wallasey

The Intergovernmental Authority on Drought and Development (IGADD) talks took place between 17–23 March in Nairobi. Two documents were agreed: an agenda for the next round of talks scheduled for 16 May; and a declaration of principles on relief supplies and humanitarian assistance.
