Which mammals were exposed to low levels of organophosphorus and for how long in order to substantiate the manufacturers" obligation to demonstrate that their products do not give rise to delayed health effects in human users.
§ The Earl of Strathmore and KinghorneRats and mice were exposed to low levels of organophosphates for about two years. These two-year studies in rodents are part of the normal toxicology data package for veterinary medicines in order to observe the test animals for a major portion of their life, which is about two years for rodents; and to compare them with an untreated control group. The studies incorporated those observations and monitorings which are normally made on a regular basis.
