To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is his assessment of the impact of the situation in North Korea on British defence policy; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Hanley

We are monitoring the situation in the Korean peninsula closely, and share the concerns of the international community over North Korea's nuclear programme.
