What would be the net annual cost to public funds of replacing student maintenance grants (and associated parental contribution) with income support (a) for full-time undergraduate students in higher education; and (b) for other full-and part-time students in further education, studying for professional qualifications and attending courses for which discretionary grants are available; and
What would be the net annual cost of public funds of extending housing benefit to (a) all full-time undergraduate students in higher education; and (b) other full-and part-time students in further education, studying for professional qualifications and attending courses for which discretionary grants are available.
