§ Dr. MawhinneySir Robin Buchanan tendered his resignation in order to concentrate on his role as chairman of the National Health Service Supplies Authority. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State accepted his resignation on 26 August 1993. The date of his departure has yet to be agreed. There has been no financial settlement.
