To ask the Secretary of State for Education how many parental ballots on grant-maintained status were held in(a) September 1992 and (b) September 1993; and, in each case, how many resulted in a majority of parents voting (i) yes and (ii) no.

Note: Overall, of the 1,280 ballots so far held on grant-maintained status, 77 per cent. have resulted in a yes vote.
