§ 28. Mr. Wigley
To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what is the latest estimate of the number of people currently in receipt of invalidity benefit.

§ Mr. Scott
The estimated average number of people who will be receiving invalidity benefit at any one time during the year 1993–94 is 1,585,000.

§ Mr. Bowden
To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many men aged between 60 and 65 years were claiming invalidity benefit in the last year for which figures are available.

§ Mr. Scott
On 4 April 1992, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 285,000 men aged between 60 and 65 receiving invalidity benefit.
