HL Deb 11 October 1993 vol 549 cc8-9WA
Lord Bonham-Carter

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Which Members of the House of Lords will, on 1st August 1993, be holding positions to which they have been appointed by the Secretary of State for Social Security, and what will be their salaries.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Social Security (Viscount Astor)

There are two members of the House of Lords appointed to a position by my right honourable friend the Secretary of State: the noble Lord, Lord Mackie, who is an unpaid member of the Central Advisory Committee on War Pensions, and the noble Lord, Lord Gridley, who is an unpaid trustee of the Far East (Prisoners of War and Internees) Fund.
