HL Deb 11 October 1993 vol 549 cc12-3WA
Baroness Jeger

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is the number of patients on waiting lists for London hospitals compared with a year ago.

Baroness Cumberlege

Provisional figures for June 1993 show that there were 74,982 patients waiting to be admitted for in-patient or day case treatment in Inner London. This was 0.9 per cent. less that in June 1992. Over the same period of time the number of patients waiting more than a year fell by 34.5 per cent. to 6,885.
