HC Deb 30 November 1993 vol 233 c464W
Mr. Alex Carlile

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what were the factors involved in the decision to recognise Wales as a separate harvest region for the purposes of the EC cereal aid proposal; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Redwood

The decision to establish Wales as a separate yield region was made by the United Kingdom Agriculture Ministers in the light of circumstances relating to all four countries and having regard to the terms of Council Regulation 1765/92.
