To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to announce the appointment of consultants to study the widening of the M27 motorway.

Mr. Key

The widening is being considered within the review of scheme priorities announced by my right hon. Friend in August. Any decision about the appointment of consultants will have to await the outcome.
